Hi There!
I’m a photographer, based in Suffolk, with a background in design, buying, marketing and product development. I specialise in personal branding photography, but also license images to greeting card publishers. A Londoner by birth I have, since the early 1990’s, lived in beautiful Suffolk where I raised my sons and continue to live with my partner, Will and our adorable Bedlington whippet Ralph.
As a textile design graduate, it will not surprise you that I am a lover of colour, with a strong interest and passion for all things art and design. I have a background in buying and product development, for the likes of Marks and Spencer and Designers Guild, so I am well equipped to understand both business and consumer needs. Prior to setting up my photography business I worked for over 25 years as creative & marketing director for a greeting card publisher.
In recent years photography has become my biggest passion and with licensing and branding I feel I have found my forte. These two different aspects of my photography business are surprisingly not too dissimilar. A greeting card image tells a story, just in the way branding photography does. Colour is also a big constituent of both, as is the sentiment they convey and how they make you feel. I just love how photography connects and engages us.
I often get asked where the name for my business came from. It is my name. As a child my parents always referred to me as Ginge on account of my mop of red hair, I was the only redhead in the family. My partner and stepsons have always called me Bee instead of Beverley or Bev, hence the name Ginger Bee, which very much sums up my own brand.
Ansel Adams
I particularly love the branding side of my business as I get to meet lots of interesting creative business owners.
“I love making people feel good in front of the camera and empowering them with authentic images to make them confident about being more visible.”
All my previous experience of business and marketing means that when you book a shoot with me, you get more than just a batch of images. I guide you through the process with a pre shoot brand clarity consultation and we work together to ensure we create authentic, on brand images that you can’t wait to use. You can view examples of my branding photography here but please contact me if you would like to book a no obligation discovery call to learn how I can help your business.
I love what I do and really wanted to show this and by having some amazing pictures to showcase my company and branding. A professional shoot was something I always thought about doing but never had the confidence to do, so when this opportunity came I can 100% say I thought nah I can’t do it I'm just not comfortable in front of the camera. Bev and I had a few discussions and gradually she convinced me to take the leap and I am so glad I did. Bev was extremely down to earth, professional and worked at my pace so I didn’t feel rushed in anyway at all. Thank you Bev for a fab shoot.

I would highly recommend working with Bev, she is really creative, she has a wonderful knowledge of photography and styling. I love how she guided me through the process and listened carefully to all my business needs and the photos that I wanted and answered these, but also brought loads of her own ideas to really elevate the photos. She is very organised and, on the ball, and just super lovely to work with.

Working with Bev was an absolute delight. I don’t particularly like having my photo taken, but Bev put me at ease and made the time together fun and relaxed. I have quite a strong image and brand which I think Bev captured perfectly. My love of colour, vibrant studio and personality are shown perfectly in these wonderful photos. I would highly recommend Bev to any creative business wanting a folio of fab photos for all branding needs.

We absolutely adore our images! They are such amazing quality and capture our brand perfectly – they look happy and relaxed as well as professional. I think they will really help enhance our brand image. They give customers a better idea of who we are and where we work; customers don’t often realise that we work from Kali’s home and are surrounded by animals and Dorset countryside! This personal touch will hopefully increase our brand engagement. The high quality images also fit in perfectly with the colours and message we try to convey, making the brand look more polished and professional.

I really enjoyed working with Bev, I really enjoyed the conversations/video call we had before and after the shoot, I felt she really understood what I wanted to communicate and my personality and was able to capture this in the photos and go beyond my expectations of the day. These conversations really helped me to relax ahead of the shoot and be well prepared. I really enjoyed the creative process on the shoot day and seeing everything coming together, as a solo worker it was brilliant to have a fresh perspective on my brand, we covered all the main images on our list, but I loved that Bev saw extra opportunities for photographs – these were some of my favourite photos from the day.

I was increasingly aware that I was needing some quality images to showcase my business and had been considering booking a professional photoshoot for quite some time but having spent almost my entire life avoiding being in front of the camera in any situation the whole process felt incredibly daunting. I needn’t have worried at all! – from my initial email enquiry, our first phone call, the planning and consultation stage prior to the photoshoot to the day itself, Bev made me feel totally at ease and completely comfortable. Everything was clearly explained and planned, She was interested in me and my business and nothing was too much trouble. I now feel I have made a lovely new friend - throughout the day we chatted, laughed and swapped life stories whilst photos were taken.
I now have the most amazing bank of images that I can use to promote my business and will be forever grateful to Bev for making the whole experience so enjoyable and such fun. I know when I next need to update my brand images, I won’t hesitate in making that call to Bev.

Helen, illustrator and greeting card publisher
I am passionate about greeting cards, having worked in the card industry as a creative director for over 30 years. Today I supply several greeting card publishers with photographic images for numerous card ranges.
Having worked as a Creative Director for a leading card publisher, I understand the needs of publishers and have the experience and knowledge as to what constitutes a best-selling greeting card.
Publishers can either license from my extensive library of images or commission a photo shoot. Working to a brief is particularly useful if a publisher has a specific image or range of images they are seeking. My images can be seen in the BBC Countryfile and Gardener’s World ranges, as well as the RSPCA card range. Customers include, Abacus Cards, Noel Tatt, Otter House, Pigment, The Original Poster Company, and Words ‘n’ Wishes.
If you are a publisher tired of using stock images, regularly used by other publishers, then please do get in touch and to find out how I can boost your sales with bespoke, original, and eye-catching imagery.
